Bears Crush Northwood On Homecoming

BEARS CRUSH NORTHWOOD ON HOMECOMING

The Polar Bears improved to 4-1 with a 49-14 win over Northwood on Homecoming Friday. Carter Luzader got things started on a 9 yard touchdown run. Jake Bouy connected with Luzader for the two point conversion and the Bears led 8-0 after the opening drive. The Polar Bear Defense got an interception by Kale Bailey. On the first play of the drive quarter back Jake Bouy connected with Kale Bailey for a 48 yard completion to the one and Jake Bouy scored on a QB sneak to make it 15-0. After a 3 and out by the Rangers the Bears struck on the first play of the drive as Bouy hit Kale Bailey for a 35 yard touchdown pass to put Margaretta up 22-0. The 2nd quarter was more of the same for the green and white. The defense was tremendous and did not surrender a first down in the quarter and added another interception this time by Judah Keller. The Polar Bears added three Judah Keller touchdown runs of 19, 18 and 13. Carter Luzader finished the scoring in the first half with a 9 yard run. The Polar Bears led 49-0 at halftime. The Rangers would score two touchdowns in the 2nd half, but Margaretta had long secured the homecoming night victory.
