The Lady Bears improved to 2-0 on the young season with a dominating victory over Fremont Ross 56-19 on Saturday at the Iceberg. Margaretta wasted no time jumping all over the Little Giants leading 14-4 after one quarter. Ellyse Schaefer drilled a pair of three pointers, Kenadie Saylor and Cassidy Lane added a pair of field goals. The Lady Bears continued the onslaught into the 2nd quarter as they outscored Fremont Ross 17-6. Thea Wybinsinger knocked down 2 three pointers, Ellyse Schaefer hit another one while hitting two more two point field goals. The Lady Bears led 31-10 at the half. Coming out of the locker room Margaretta would put it out of reach in a hurry with great defense and even better ball movement on the offensive end as they would push their lead to 35 points which ensued the running clock with just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Margaretta outscored Fremont Ross 22-5 in the third quarter. Ashlyn Kingsborough scored 7 points, Lillian Belak hit a 3 pointer, and Addy Fitzthum added 4 points. With the running clock both teams would struggle to find a rhythm in the 4th quarter.
