Margaretta Wrestlers Finish Runner-Up at Brookside Brawl The Margaretta wrestling team turned in an impressive performance over the weekend, finishing second out of 14 teams at the annual Brookside Brawl, highlighted by two championship runs and multiple podium finishes. The Polar Bears were led by Cohen Gahler and Fernando Gonzalez, who each captured individual titles with perfect 5-0 records. Gahler controlled his weight class from start to finish, while Gonzalez put together a dominant tournament, earning five pins on his way to the championship. Margaretta also saw a runner-up finish from Trace Wilson, who battled his way to second place after a strong showing throughout the bracket. Aiden Moyer added to the team score with a third-place finish, providing key points in a tightly contested team race. Several other Polar Bears contributed valuable placements, including Ryan Brown and Vinny Barnette, who each finished fourth, along with Landen Bettis, who also placed fourth. Jaxon Shearn, Skylar Ballin, and Evan Starr all earned fifth-place finishes, helping Margaretta maintain consistent scoring across multiple weight classes.
