The Margaretta Wrestling team put together a dominant showing Wednesday night at Huron, sweeping a tri-match with convincing wins over both opponents. The Polar Bears opened the night with a 51–30 victory over Arcadia and followed it up with a 52–27 win over host Huron. Margaretta’s success was fueled by strong performances throughout the lineup, with multiple wrestlers going undefeated on the night according to the official weigh-in sheet. At the lighter weights, Vincent Barnette (113) set the tone by going 2–0, while Ryan Brown (120) also posted a 2–0 record. Chase Gowitzka (126) continued the momentum, finishing 2–0 on the night as well. In the middle of the lineup, Paulina Hill (144) earned a win to finish 1–0, and Caleb Reedy (150) added another victory with a 1–0 performance. Skylar Ballin (157) was perfect in both of his matches, going 2–0, while Cohen Gahler (190) also remained unbeaten with a 2–0 record. Fernando Gonzales (285) capped off a strong team effort by going 2–0, helping Margaretta secure team points in both duals. Caden Plumley also contributed, finishing the night 1–0. Margaretta’s depth across all weight classes proved to be the difference, as the Polar Bears consistently picked up key wins and bonus points to control both duals from start to finish.
