Polar Bears Handle Edison

POLAR BEARS HANDLE EDISON

The Margaretta Polar Bears continued their dominant run through the Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division on Friday night, rolling past the Edison Chargers 69–35 to remain perfect in league play. Margaretta jumped out early and never looked back, setting the tone with defensive pressure and balanced scoring. The Polar Bears led 21–11 after the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 44–21 by halftime. A strong third quarter put the game firmly out of reach, as Margaretta built a 55–27 lead heading into the final period before closing out the convincing win. Julian Washington led the way with a game-high 28 points, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor. Washington also pulled down 10 rebounds to record a double-double while adding two assists and two steals. Kale Bailey provided a strong all-around performance, finishing with 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Tyson Bailey also reached double figures with 10 points, helping fuel the Polar Bears’ depth scoring. Judah Keller controlled the tempo throughout the night, dishing out seven assists and coming up with a game-high six steals as Margaretta’s pressure defense forced Edison into frequent turnovers. Additional scoring came from Ayden Miller with five points, Rob Cox with five points, AJ Walters with four points, Jason Bohn with two points, and Jake Bouy with three points. Bohn also contributed two assists in the win. With the victory, Margaretta improves to 15–2 overall and remains a perfect 8–0 in Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division play, continuing to set the pace atop the league.
