The Margaretta Lady Bears opened their 2026 season with a solid performance Monday at the Lake Invitational, finishing ninth in a competitive field at Hidden Hills Golf Club. Junior Ellaynah "Layni" Schaefer paced the Lady Bears with an outstanding round of 94, earning an impressive fourth-place individual finish against a strong field of golfers.
